Quick SummaryPros: * Relive the moments of Jason Bourne in super assassin
* Go Ballistic on multitude of enemies in Bourne Fashion
* See some back story to Jason Bourne not shown in theaters
Cons: * No counter system to repetitive combo system. * Car chase scene seems a bit cheesy and short * Game itself is short (< 5 hours)
* AI can be unrelenting in faster button masher than you. Publisher(s) / Developer(s): Sierra Entertainment / High Moon StudiosPlatform(s): PlayStation 3, Xbox 360Release date(s): NA June 3, 2008Genre: Third-person espionageRating: T for TeensStory: 8 / 10Well it was only a matter of time before a great book became a great movie series and then a game. If you noticed I didn’t use the word “great” with game, you have keen eyes my friend and there is a reason why. The premise to this book/movie/game adaptation is simple. You play 6 Billion Dollar man Assassin to the U. S. Government, but you have gained amnesia on a routine snipe. In the process of trying to discover your past, you end up fighting off the villains and friends. The game takes place only on the first movie, which too much dismay is a bit weird considering all 3 movies were released before the game was GOLD. Gameplay: 5 / 10Fighting is done in a simple Combo button mashes, block, button mashes, block, and etc. Rinse and repeat. Now this can get old quick, so they inserted a slight button variation that’ll include a kick here and there, but that’s it. The counter system is an adrenaline gauge. The adrenaline works in this manner: You kick some butt, you get adrenaline, then execute adrenaline as a QTE (Quick Time Event) to just punish your enemy in one of two moves. It’s nice a dandy to have because if refills your health when you complete one successfully. There is one issue though, you’ll be doing a LOT of blocking, because the enemy sometimes has quicker reflexes than you and there isn’t any type of counter system to that. It would’ve been nice to have that added to the gameplay to balance things a bit, but like any movie adaptation to game, things get lost in translation. View article Images hereDuck/Cover system works pretty well and so does the insane accuracy with rifles and SMG guns from more than 30ft away. It’s funny but it works. Graphics: 8 / 10Some great renditions have been made the game’s engine. It holds well with the character models and environments. It may seem a bit too kiddy for some on how the only car sequence is rendered. Yes there is only one care sequence, which is ok I guess, but still weird. This generation graphics are kept up to date to say the least. I didn’t experience any funny business or glitches. Challenge/Replay Value: 3 / 10The game itself is pretty easy and you’ll complete this puppy in about 5 hours or less. I did this over a friend’s house in the weekend. Quite a fun ride, but left me wanting more. It has replay value in the aspect of achievements, but at the harder levels it gets down right annoying and too repetitive. I think only hardcore achievement junkies (no offense) would want to go far with this game. Also, for your efforts, you’ll get unlocked music tracks, concept art, and wallpapers, but that’s it. I will make this final comment as I’m trying something new with my reviews. RENT or BUY:This game is at most, worth a RENTAL if you decided to play it. This game gets my Rental view only a rental because of its short gameplay and story. If it would’ve had all three stories and a counter system this game would be a contender of a higher price, but at $60, it’s not worth it, at least to me. This trailer sums up everything you’ll play in about those 5 hours (without achievement collecting). I would like to state that I feel sorry that I couldn’t say much more for this game.
Living in Southern California, you know how hard it is to find affordable rental housing. There are not very many options that are cheap enough for the 9 to 5 worker who can’t afford a $600,000 house in the greater Anaheim area. Some of the rentals accept Section 8 housing vouchers, so if you qualify for Section 8, don’t forget to ask – it will save you plenty of money.
Madison Park in Anaheim has studios that start at $850 a month – reasonable pricing considering the area. It is only a short drive from Disneyland – a tremendous selling point if you have kids between 5 and 14 years old. It also offers free WIFI in the clubhouse, bring your laptop down and surf the internet in a social atmosphere.
The Mariposa has units beginning at $899 a month, they are very close to the major freeways and great shopping as well as movie theaters. You can find 1 and 2 bedrooms with either 1 or 2 bathrooms. Easy access to public transportation in case you commute to downtown LA, Burbank, Glendale or the Long Beach area.
Renaissance Park has 1 and 2 bedrooms from $910/ month. Perfect location for your family with great pricing when you consider all the options you are receiving. Covered parking avaiable in some units as well as washer and dryer and microwave.
Rancho Vista is close to the 91 and 5 Freeways and is very near Knotts Berry Farm, a great place to take relatives when they come by to visit.
The multiple award-winning musical Rent is based on opera of Puccini, La Boheme. It has been playing on Broadway since 1996 and is one of the longest running shows. In 2005, the movie based on Rent was released and, like the musical itself, has gained a cult following. The soundtrack album became available on CD soon after.
The story follows a group of eight Bohemian friends living in modern New York over the course of a year, specifically 1989-1990. It is a heartfelt look at ups and downs of life and how the various characters deal with addiction, loss, relationships, housing, AIDS and the meaning of life itself.
A number of the original songs were deleted during the movie adaptation and do not appear on the movie soundtrack in order to create more space for dialogue and produce a more free-flowing plot. Some purists or Rentheads feel that the soundtrack is not complete because of the removal of these songs. For everyone else, especially those who have not seen the Broadway version, the movie is a brutally honest look at life with aspects that most can relate to. The Rent movie soundtrack has the same rock opera feel to it as the original musical score and is filled with 28 moving, uplifting and ultimately, inspiring songs.
Seasons of Love is perhaps the best known of all of the songs. Unlike in the musical, this song opens the movie. A re-mixed version, featuring the legendary Stevie Wonder, was also released. The entire cast sings and the song revolves around them trying to decide how you measure a year apart from in minutes. They calculate that there are five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes in a year and each suggests other methods of quantifying a year but reach the conclusion that love is the one correct gauge of a year in a life of a human. Seasons of Love is the perfect opening and acts as a teaser to the rest of the tracks on this compilation .
The original theme song of the musical, Rent, follows as the film opens in the East Village of New York on Christmas Eve, 1989. Roger and Mark are trying to avoid being evicted from their previously rent-free apartment. Another outstanding song on the Rent movie soundtrack is the duet Take Me or Leave Me where Maureen and her lesbian lover Joanne are having a quarrel at an engagement announcement party hosted by the parents of Joanne. The local bar is the perfect setting for the energetic rendition of La Vie Boheme. It captures the nonconformity of the main characters, which is further emphasized by everyone dancing on the tables.
The Rent movie soundtrack is a must-have for anyone who has seen the movie. Fans of the original musical will also enjoy reliving the songs, particularly because the majority of the original cast members were involved in the film and also appear on the movie soundtrack.
Out: Driving to the local video store to rent a video.
In: Visiting a DVD online club to rent a video to have it sent to your home effortlessly.
Out: Waiting in long lines at the local video store.
In: Choosing which movies to have sent to you from a website in moments.
Out: Not finding the video you really wanted at the video store, the whole reason you went there. That, and having to find a “good enough” movie.
In: Choose the movie you really want among tens of thousands of choice. The one you want, everytime.
These things describe why I switched to a DVD online club. From my experience, everytime I went to the local video Blockbuster, I never got the movie I really wanted. The new releases were always out for weeks, and you had to practically stalk the store to get one when it came back in. That, and recently I had the urge to watch an old movie, Karate Kid 1 (the original where he learned karate). After going there a couple of times, I found out someone had kept the video out and maybe at some point they’d get a new one in as the person decided to keep it apparantly. Ok, so I went to Walmart, but the movie wasn’t there. So it comes down to I have to order one in from Amazon. com it seems if I want to watch it. I never quite took to Netflix after my credit card number got stolen years ago and that’s what the person did, they ordered videos from Netflix. So, recently I came across this place called Intelliflix and I never went back to Blockbuster again. The old movie was great to see again.
That’s why I chose to change to a DVD online club, but everyone has their own reasons. I have compiled together a list of all the great things about switching to a DVD online club since some you don’t realize until after you switch, like a bonus:
* No late fees or return dates. While this is true about Blockbuster now (if you don’t count the restocking fee) , it is 100% true about these DVD online clubs.
* Great for old movies or unusual, lesser-known movies. This was very true in my case, and I’m sure it has been with other people as well.
* The movies you really want are actually there and ready to rent now. Plenty of movies to go around, something you can’t get in a little store.
* Delivered to your door. You can’t get any easier than this! What you want, delivered right to you in no time.
* Fast, free delivery, usually in 1 day from my experience. Some DVD online clubs get the movies to you faster than others. The biggest DVD online club is not Blockbuster or Netflix. There is one that has many, many more distribution centers, meaning you get the video much faster to your door.
* Free shipping both to your home and also back to the DVD online club. The only fees are the low monthly subscription fees.
* 3-4 videos out a a time. Once you watch a video, pop it back in the mail, and in a couple of days you get your next video choice at your door.
I used to spend way more money in the local video store than I do for my DVD online club monthly subscription. Heck, I spend more driving to work and back on just 3 of the days than I do on my subscription. The difference is, now I actually get to watch what I want, when I want it. Seems simple, but when you’re spending your hard-earned money, you should be able to at the least get the movie you really want. Now, I do have to say one DVD online club stands above the rest, both in having a cheaper price, a bigger selection, and much faster shipping, but I won’t mention it in this article as I’m focusing on the DVD online club market in general and why it’s a blessing. You can watch literally any movie you want one after another. I usually have a pile of 3 videos on top of the tv, so I can’t even remotely watch them as fast as I can get them. But I do get to see what I want now, not what I’m stuck with. Wax on . . wax off!
Obviously, the big number one here is you’re not going to be standing in line to rent the latest adult movie fetish you’ve just been itching to rent-okay, just break that for a second, if you’re literally itching you may want to see a doctor, depending on where you’re itching-then you’re walks up behind you! That’s the scenario everyone envisions and is exactly why you should rent adult movies online through the mail. If you rent adult movies online through the mail then no one can sneak up behind you and become a witness to your deepest, darkest inner perversions. Although, the clerk at the video store probably already has a pretty good idea what your kink is by now. Why wait another day when you can start the FREE TRIAL at the “Adult Netflix” today!Which brings me to another reason you should rent adult movies online rather than going to the brick-and-mortar video store, the clerk will know what your kink is and if you rent adult movies online then no one is going to really have a clue, think of the sheer volume of movies that they send out every month. How could anyone notice?Unless you’re still living in your mothers basement and she happens to check the mail! Which why are you still living in your mother’s basement? Are you sixteen? Oh, alright. In that case, it’s fine-although, you shouldn’t be renting adult movies online or anywhere if you’re under the age of eighteen! So, don’t!Renting adult movies online through the mail works similar to Netflix’s service, if you’ve rented from Netflix then you know the deal-basically, this is why people are calling the service listed below the “adult netflix. ” It allows you to rent adult movies online through the mail and build a queue list of movies that will be sent out as soon as you return the last movie you’ve watched.
If you’ve been living on this planet for the last year, you will know how invaluable online video game rentals are to the serious gamer. Are all online rental companies created equally and do they support the game consoles you own. Today, we will be investigating into which rental club offers the best quality selection of Xbox video game rentals. Out of 7 online rental game clubs, only 3 were viable and worthy enough to put this analysis to the test. These clubs were Gottaplay, GameFly, and Intelliflix, 3 of the major players within the online game rental realm. Gottaplay Xbox RentalsGottaplay rental company is fast becoming one of the best online rental game companies in the US, trailing right next to GameFly. They are the first online company of their kind that offers phone support to all their customers, along with a massive game selection. New Release Titles: Carried all New Releases3. Classic Game Titles: Many Xbox classics were included such as Halo, Soul Caliber, and other great titles of the past. 4. Hard-to-Find Games: Many games that we never even knew about were included within their selection. If you want to play a game with little or no popularity, Gottaplay has this covered as well. 5. This company is the oldest and many believe the leader within the game rental world. One thing is for sure, when it comes to Xbox game rentals, they sure don’t lack in selection and quality. Hard-to-Find Games: Many games that we never even knew about were included within their selection, but most of their game selection comprised of newer titles. 5. Xbox 360 titles: Roughly 60 Xbox 360 titles and growing. They offer cheats, reviews, walkthroughs, and instruction manuals located within their website. Intelliflix Xbox RentalsIntelliflix has definately reached out to a market that some gamers have been requesting for years. That is movie, game, and adult titles selection all within one central online gaming facility. This company had a great selection of Xbox rentals available when considering the wide market area that they cover with video games and movies. Although their Xbox game rentals weren’t as hefty as the top 2 competitors, they were definately worth mentioning. 1. Xbox Game Selection: Roughly 400 Xbox titles2. New Release Titles: Carried all New Releases and have posts of up-and-coming releases as well. 3. Classic Game Titles: Many classics were included. 4. Hard-to-Find Games: Yes, they had these covered as well. You will find a wide array of games you never knew were invented within this selection. 5. Xbox 360 titles: Roughly 35 Xbox 360 titles and growing. Still a great selection of newer titles. Honestly, you really can’t go wrong with any of the 3 rental clubs mentioned above. For more of a diverse and massive selection, I would highly reccommend GameFly next in line to Gottaplay. They definately have the market covered within this category of console games.
Some people prefer action movies, other prefer thrillers or horror movies; women are especially passionate about romances and almost all people are in love with comedies. So, if you are really passionate about movies, you can rent DVD online. Generally, it is really difficult to see older movies in the cinema and if you are not willing to pay for your own DVD’s, you can rent them. In this way, you can see more movies than you can afford to buy, at lower prices. If you perform a quick search on the Internet, you can discover websites with special offers for DVD rental free trial. If you want to rent DVD online, you should know that you can rent more than movies on DVD; you can also rent DVD’s with documentaries, concerts, music etc. At cinema, you can watch usually only the latest movies, but if you want to see an older film for example, it will be a little bit complicated, because you won’t find it anywhere. Perhaps the only solution is to rent DVD online. You can choose a website with DVD rental free trial and you can watch the movie for free, directly on the site. People really enjoy these free trials, watching the films that they really love. Movies are wonderful ways to transpose in a different world, whether we are talking about a magical or a terrifying experience. If you want to raise your adrenaline level, you can opt for an action or suspense movie; but if you want to spend more time with your kids, then you can rent animation or kids’ movies. It will be real fun and you can enjoy special moments with your little ones. They will be really grateful and you will feel pretty amazing. But no matter what genre of movies you watch, it is really important to do what you like. Nowadays, if you don’t know what a film is about, you can search the web for trailers of these motion pictures. Generally, you will discover links with these promos on the website where you rent DVD online. In this way, you will be able to realize if you want to see that film or not. Sometimes, some movies seem interesting when you hear the title or you look at who is playing in the film, but when you see the trailer, it won’t seem so amazing anymore. There are certain movies that you want to see over and over again and you will probably want to rent DVD online again and again and again. For no matter what reason you want to see a movie, you must remember that there are many websites that offer DVD rental free trial. In this way you can choose your favorite film, or you can choose to watch a comedy with your whole family or friends. It will be very relaxing for you all and you will enjoy the moments.
You love movies but you simply can’t spare the time to go to a theater, and when you can the only films showing at the local multiplex are mediocre Hollywood product. What to do? Well, why not rent movies online? I know, you want the communal experience of watching movies in a darkened theater, but consider the advantages. By using an online DVD rental service, you have your pick of a wide range of movies, for a price substantially lower than a trip to the cinema. You also don’t have to put up with the rude guy behind you who’s narrating the entire story to his girlfriend, and kicking the back of your seat to boot.
The market leader in online DVD rentals is Netflix, which was founded in 1997. Netflix claims to have some 100,000 titles in its library (which includes both movies and TV shows) and announced in February 2009 that the number of subscribers to the service had already passed ten million. Cineastes in particular will appreciate the fact that Netflix’s library features many classic and art house movies. The major features offered by Netflix to those who want to rent movies online are: affordable membership fees, quick arrival times (an average of just one day) and a two-week free trial for new users. In addition, the Netflix site offers an easy-to-use search interface that allows users to search by title, director, actor, genre, even by awards the movie has received.
You can also easily access information on a particular film simply by moving your mouse over the movie image on the site. Netflix works by charging users a flat monthly fee that allows them a certain number of rentals. You create a list of DVDs, called a ‘queue,’ that you want to rent. You only receive the next movie or batch of movies once you return the ones already in your possession. There are no late fees. Netflix’s closest competitor is Blockbuster. Blockbuster was originally founded in 1985 as a chain of video rental stores, but started its own online rental service in 2004. It has a substantially smaller number of titles in its library, 75,000, and focuses on newer titles that have higher consumer demand. Movies arrive at your door in between one and two days, but you can also exchange your movies at any brick-and-mortar Blockbuster store, depending on your membership plan.
Apart from these differences, Blockbuster’s rental service offers features similar to those of Netflix’s. DVD Avenue has only a fraction of the movies of its two competitors but does offer something they don’t: adult video rentals at no extra charge. But a major disincentive for using the service, aside from the paucity of their library, is that it takes longer for the movies to reach you: two to five days; however, if you live in the DC Metro area, you can get your rentals in one to three days. Cineastes with more exotic tastes looking to rent movies online can also avail of more specialized rental services such as eHit and Cafedvd, which have broader selections of obscure films and Asian cinema, but substantially fewer features. With such a bounty of choices, you may never have to visit the multiplex again.
